Government's Proper Roles

Government is woefully inefficient so let's make sure that we only ask of it what cannot be done by others.

The traditional role of the US government is the protection of the rights of its citizens, and to keep the culture and business environment fair and treated equally under the law.

Government is unique in that it is the only authorized user of force in our society which is why the constitution charges the US government with national defense as well as a Bill of Rights that defines what government MAY NOT DO.

The Federal Government must provide a federal court system and the states must provide a system of courts,  justice, and policing as well but federal policing forces should be abolished where state cooperative agencies can handle the job.

There are those things that only government can do (use of force) so let's leave such tasks to the Government and allow private entities and individuals to do all else.
